Artist’s Statement
Old and Forgotten

Painting is my healthy way to escape and release the anxieties of the day. I not only feel refreshed but also proud for accomplishing a goal I set for myself to paint or draw everyday.
Pastels and drawing are my favorite medium and method. A flow of energy and excitement come through on the paper as I start to paint or draw. It is always a pleasant surprise to see the outcome; like finishing a good book.
With a busy schedule and family it is hard to focus on myself. I am a mother of a eleven-year-old boy and wife to a husband who works hard and long hours. I managed with the support of my husband and family to go back to school and get a BA in Art Therapy and Fine Art. I graduated in May 2008 and feel that I am back in sync with who I am and what I am suppose to be doing with my life. I teach fine art to school age children and adults, this to me is most rewarding. I love to see people flourish and get excited about their art. I love being part of that stepping stone in their lives.
So with the help of good friends and family I will continue this venue to grow as a mother, wife, friend, artist, teacher, and entrepreneur. I will find new ways to be creative and build my business, never forgetting the people who give me a little push and advise to help me stay on track and to achieve my goals.
